You ain’t going to be getting into bother wearing these Oxford beauts. I was dubious when I looked at the spec (which said they’re waterproof), coming with such a big set of laces and a full-length side zip. But I was proven wrong on more than one occasion. In the UK rain is never far away and I was expecting to get wet feet and sore, cold toes on the morning I attended a speed awareness course (yep, had been naughty – but in my car). On arrival, after travelling 18 miles in constant heavy rain on the Zero DSR electric bike, I was happily surprised to find I still had dry feet (and not to cold either, due to a good set of thermal socks).
These Merton boots are comfortable enough to wear all day, even though they sport a reinforced sole and ankle protectors – they are well worth a look.
